Say it ain’t so! But, at least in Germany, it appears that beer prices are on the rise.

This is horrible!

Seem the prices of barley is now up to $271 per ton and since barley is a primary ingredient of most beer – well, our favorite beverage’s price is on the upswing.

And why, you might ask?

Global warming.

Damn environmentalists have spread the global warming spiel so much that beer prices are going to be impacted. This is bad and the madness must stop!

In the last two years, the price of barley has doubled to $271 per ton as farmers plant more crops such as rapeseed and corn that can be turned into ethanol or biodiesel, a fuel made from vegetable oil.

Life could very well cease to exist as we know it if cheap beer is not widely available. All because of some silly artic ice cap melting global warming brou-ha-ha.
